Here you’ll find all the posts about our trip to Thailand, specifically to Phuket, in January 2023. We had already visited other regions of Thailand back in 2016, such as Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, and the Phi Phi Islands, but I won’t cover those destinations for now (except the Phi Phi Islands) as it was a very, very long time ago.
For me, Thailand is the best starting point for a holiday in Asia. It has stunning beaches, a rich culture, incredible landscapes and national parks, and wonderful people and cuisine. It’s no surprise that Thailand is known as the “Land of Smiles.”
The country offers spectacular beachfront hotels to suit all budgets, from backpacker hostels to ultra-luxury resorts. Even with the rise in airfares and hotel prices, especially post-Covid, I still believe that Thailand is the place to go for a quality beach holiday at a great price, at least on this side of Asia.
