Hoi An is such a charming city with many great accommodation options to suit all tastes and budgets. We stayed at the La Siesta Hoi An Resort & Spa, which is not quite in the city centre, but it is close enough that you can walk to the old town in 20 minutes.
The hotel also offers a free shuttle service to both the historic centre and An Bang beach. It’s also very easy to get a Grab here, which is the equivalent of Uber in Asia.
The hotel is absolutely beautiful and so are the rooms. We spent some time by the saltwater pool and it was lovely. The staff were very friendly and attentive, and even played with Maria Rita, which is always a bonus! There is a small grocery store just outside the hotel which offers a very convenient laundry service, which we used and found very useful. I highly recommend staying at the La Siesta Resort & Spa.

Special Tip for the Rainy Season
If you are planning to visit Hoi An during the rainy season, I would recommend staying a little further away from the historic centre. As mentioned in the Arrival in Hoi An post, this area is prone to flooding from September to November, and staying on higher ground can make a difference to your experience.
