Where to eat in Perth

Suggestions for cafes serving the best breakfasts in the Northbridge and CBD areas of Perth. Includes a recommendation for a great ramen restaurant.

These cafes and restaurants were discovered by chance during our trip to Perth, but they made such a great impression that they deserve to be shared.

The first two are perfect for breakfast, especially as it’s not very common for hotels in Perth (or Australia for that matter?) to include breakfast with your stay. The last one is a ramen restaurant that we absolutely loved.

Little Willy’s

Breakfast at Little Willy’s was undoubtedly the best we had on this trip. We came here when we stayed at the Alex Hotel, as it’s very close by – and I’m so glad we did because I loved the food. I had muesli with yoghurt (photo below), and it was delicious. Hélio took the advice of another customer, who noticed we were new to the place, and ordered a burrito. Maria Rita had scrambled eggs and toast.

Perth

This cafe is clearly a favourite with the locals, and as it’s not very big, you can expect to wait a while.

Here’s the exact location, where you can also check the menu and the opening hours (only open in the morning).

Deli Gabe

Deli Gabe is very close to the Pensione Hotel, so we had breakfast here when we stayed there. They offer a variety of options, including sweet and savoury bagels, toast with eggs or avocado, croissants, and sandwiches.

It’s a great choice for breakfast or brunch, and the prices are reasonable by Perth standards.

For more details, check out Deli Gabe’s Instagram. In the evenings, the cafe also transforms into a pizzeria on certain days of the week.

Bariuma Ramen

Passing by in the morning, we noticed how popular this ramen restaurant was, so we decided to return later for an early dinner before our flight back to Singapore.

Even though I’m not a big fan of ramen, I went for the milder chicken broth, which turned out to be really good! I later found out that Bariuma is actually a restaurant chain that started in Japan and has since expanded to several countries, including Singapore!

You can find out more about the location of the restaurant here. We went to the one in Perth’s CBD (Central Business District).
